Little Debbie Star Crunch Ice Cream Back blurbĪ COLD AND CREAMY TWIST ON A CLASSIC TREAT Generally as to all of these Little Debbie ice cream pints my opinion remains the same: get a pint of Ben & Jerry’s, Haagen-Dazs, or Van Leeuwen at Walmart instead, and you’ll enjoy it more. But they would have been better if they were bigger or made up of clumps of rice crispy pieces, rather than just individual grains of puffed rice coated in chocolate. Look at those cross section pics-there are quite a few chocolate crispies in there. The chocolate-covered rice crispies weren’t bad they were generous in amount, with a discernable chocolate-flavored coating, and a fair amount of crunch to them. But there’s really no excuse for the lack of caramel flavor in the base here. I expect cheaper pints to have more air in the base, so I can forgive the texture somewhat. Overall: Little Debbie’s Star Crunch had a disappointing caramel base that lacked flavor and texture. They were very sweet, and it was a little much by the time I finished my serving. There were a good amount of the chocolate crispies mixed in. Some of the rice crispy bits had a crunch to them, but others were soft, though not soggy. The chocolate was okay-milk chocolate with a ganache texture. To be clear, this mix-in consists of individual pieces of puffed rice covered in chocolate, not clumps of rice crispy. Thick Fudge Chocolate Crispies: This mix-in was chocolate-covered rice crispy bits. I enjoy caramel, but the caramel flavor here is almost too weak to detect. Little Debbie Star Crunch Ice Cream RatingĬaramel Ice Cream: More creamy than expected, but not on the level of a premium pint. Little Debbie (Hudsonville) Sponsored Links Flavor
